The children at Christ Church First School have been working on a number of different activites related to the Comenius Project. Firstly, the children during their History topic have been finding out all about Josiah Wedgwood and the impact that he had on the local area.
Wedgwood is a name that is known all over the world. Josiah was famous for bringing the Pottery Industry to Stoke on Trent and influential in the designing and implemention of the Canal System.
The children have been busy working on fact finding in Literacy, visiting the Wedgwood Museum and factory in Barlaston and also making clay pots experimenting with the famous Jasper Colours.
After the visit to France, Mr Hindhaugh and Mrs Fitzpatrick were inspired by Mont St Michel and decided to focus their Art work on the stained glass window designs and also the floor patterns.
Here are some of the Power Point presentations that the children produced during their Literacy lesson.
